its a system ive been using for hockey totals. i compare the head to head matchups whether they went over or under the total. if the majority of the games go over and the last game went under, you play the over.

for example in tonights chi/edm game:

5 of last 7 went over last 3 years overall
2 of 3 went over in chicago last 3 years
the last game between these teams went under

so the play was over 6, which was a winner for tonight.

it was a little rough in baskets tonight, going 2-2, but 1-0 in hockey.
