  • Spears Thursday Talley Ho

Had a dream last night that I loss for the night - even while going 2-1 (never got a chance to bet on the half play) and then a small loss on a tilt play on Denver. I woke up in time to hear that Denver was the worst 3-point shooting team in the NBA and they were firing threes to get away from Kirilenko who was a friggin terminator in the paint.

Ah but the dream has a happy ending - I went fast asleep!
Was that it -Spearit- Uh Yeah- Cuz that is a painful way to lose- not playing the plays you see as the strongest and doubling on the one you can get- exasperating to say the least! What happened to Patience- Small play didn't hurt much but did signal a discipline problem in my betting on plays outside the system after a loss- something that got me in hot water in my first season of betting last year- and hopefully I will gain strength from it!

    12-0 and then 2 losses.
Funny thing yesterday- my patient said her that her "talley whacker in the back of her throat was red and inflammed"- she was 80 and is forgiven.
    NHL

    Tampa Bay -130

THE SKINNY: This is the sixth of eight meetings. Tampa Bay is 3-2. … Lightning are 14-12-4-1 all-time against Atlanta, including 9-3-1-1 at home. … Tampa Bay enters tonight tied for the No. 6 spot with Montreal and New Jersey, five points ahead of Atlanta. … Thrashers are 15-17-2 on the road.
My thinking is that TB needs this game and has played well against these guys at home.

Lightning give up the second fewest po wer plays in the league at 4.9 per game. Atlanta ranks 2nd or 3rd on
po wer plays to get the majority of their points.

Good luck my friend. I generally hate playing hockey but I'll probably play it. I know about the patience thing, we talked about it yesterday.

I would love to be at this game- It is tight on the lines and I could show ya but won't. How you could plunk down serious money is a wonder to me.

However, I will give it a shot!
On the total- couldn't be much less under these teams could go- on the first half of 60- well that is a couple of points where South Carolina would like it to be. 26-30 points
Mich would like to see it higher at 32-36 points.
Edge- Well who's pace are we on---I believe South Carolina--

The second half -if South Carolina keeps it under 60- tends to score about 5 points more in the second half- than does Mich.
In South Carolina's losses to Florida and LSU- in which they took S.Carolina out of their defense and blew over the total in the first half - South Carolina has been defensive minded and vegas sees it happening tonight as well - I side with Vegas-- Mich is a good hot team and well coached but South Carolina has played rather well and is hotter.

                South Carolina -3 Go Balkman!

S CAROLINA is 9-0 ATS (+9.0 Units) in March games this season.
                The average score was S CAROLINA 67.0, OPPONENT 59.6 - (Rating = 5*)

Darn it Spear. I like Michigan tonight. I might just not play the game at all and only hit the ice for one.

Cabomike- Seriously- This is not a great betting game and value can be found later. This is a champ vs champ - conference vs conference title game. I would play the under and enjoy the game but OT is a good possibility between high emotional teams as we will see tonight. Cappers are on both sides becuz it is that tough!! Good Luck Buddy

By the way Marcus Camby wasn't playing last night for Denver- just found that out- nice-spearit- real nice.

Same to you tonight. I might just follow what you said. Maybe the under 1st half? Any stats on it?

Cabomike- It was a consideration- I will play it as well. The stats show as I stated before. Lets make it a play- its title time. I can see it- just fouls/free throws can knock us out of the picture.
