Griff....I did cap the ODU injury to Loughton.....he didnt practice all week, and that was made public.

All I am saying is that it is pathetic to use "smart money" as your only way of betting.

I see people who like a side, bet the other side b/c the line moved 1 point and c**ers or ********* has 60% backing the other side.

How miserable and pathetic that people sit on the net all day and wait for line moves and public #'s to make their bets. IF YOU LIKE A SIDE, HIT IT!

Plus, the websites that post these supposed #'s, are also endorsing the sportsbooks that take the action.....they could be making the numbers up.

Also, I see nothing wrong w/ congratulating people that bet a winner....thats what its all about, winning.

Not bashing people that bet ODU, they were a good team...but bet them b/c thats the side u like, not b/c "sharp money" is on them. could have been a 350 pound rich ODU alum that threw 10K on them, and thats why the line moved....

Line movement for me is a strategy at times. I don't know what moves the line, if it's 'smart money' or 'public' money. I don't really care.

It just seems to work for me, that if a line moves extremely in one direction, that I may want to go the opposite way. It becomes an overlay and a way Vegas makes so much money.

Vegas opens Mich as a -2 favorite and money moves ODU as the -1.5 favorite. Mich is still the team Vegas oddsmakers believe is the better team. So why not take Mich +1.5?

It's the same as betting a morning line favored horse that is a 2-1 favorite. Before the race goes off, he's a 6-1 underdog. I'm now getting a favorite at a great price. Nice overlay.

Just one of my betting strategies. Doesn't always work, but has numerous times in the past, as it did last night. Also, Mich on paper, just looked like they played the much tougher and better schedule. just my opinion....

Yeah you congratulate Mich backers but in the next sentence you BASH the people that played ODU.

And about the injury.......You capped the knee injury to Dahi?............

"The Monarchs also lost junior forward Arnaud Dahi to a knee injury with 30 seconds left in the half. Old Dominion coach Blaine Taylor said he fears it may be a torn anterior cruciate ligament."

Next time you can see into the future you should let the rest of us know before the game is over. Thanks.

Smart money versus square money was seen also on NJ Nets versus Phoenix- The squares were all over Phoenix- and smart on the nets--this shows its value at times. I had Nets and no Suns comeback in the second half of that game- stating that the Suns were out of sync and NJ flexes it muscles and ESPN says - who saw this coming?
Me- Why-I heard a player from the Nets (TV) stating confidently we will win one of these games (Detroit/Phoenix). I had no problem pushing the button when I also saw the smart money thinking the same. Just a feel- but went against it in the Mich game.
As far as ODU- injuries mounted and the lack of depth showed- end of story!
