ESPN is reporting that Sampson is replacing Mike Davis at IU...This is a bit of a shocker! Personally, I think Sampson is nuts...he is the King at OU and is the upside of returning IU to dominance enought to outweigh the downside? then again, I should wait to see what they are paying him...they could be giving him millions of reasons to overlook the downside....

He is second to Bob Stoops at OU. He is not even in the same class at any major football in the state of Oklahoma. Now he is the most prominent coach in the Sate of Indiana."MONEY WON IS TWICE AS SWEET AS MONEY EARNED!"

the first question I have is Did Indiana go outside the Knight family on purpose???
secondly is Kelvin Sampson the best they could get? I heard John Beliens name at one point?!?!
Thirdly Sampson is known for his JUCO recruiting, is Indiana going to start letting him bring JUCO kids in?
Coach Knight had one in his entire tenure at IU, Keith Smart, not a bad choice huh? More recently Earl Calloway was this past season..."MONEY WON IS TWICE AS SWEET AS MONEY EARNED!"

Well, it looks like the went after Few and Calipari first, obviously not part of the Knight family. This according to ESPN. Still a rather curious choice, imo. I agree that the recruiting criteria will be interesting as Sampson does take JUCO transfers..at least he did.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910
