This is a very good card tonight in the NBA. I have five plays I like and am singling out the top two as my * rated plays. The other three are posted as opinions.
1* Mavs +5 1/2
Dallas is dead even with San Antonio for the number one seed in the west but drops all the way to the four seed if they don't win the battle (because division champs get the top three seeds). Detroit, on the other hand, is playing for nothing and it shows. The Pistons have the east's number one seed locked up and have been going through the motions for the last three and a half weeks. Detroit is 2-10 ATS its last twelve and lost at home Sunday to the Nets. When in doubt, always go with the west over the east in the NBA.
1* Bulls -5
Chicago is now just 1 1/2 games behind the collapsing Sixers for the final playoff spot in the east. The Bulls have won two in a row SU and ATS (I posted both as plays here) and there's no reason they shouldn't have an easy time with the Magic, which has won three in a row but all against weak teams. Magic just 7-29 SU on the road. The Bulls have been awful at home but are playing well right now and are being driven by Skiles to make the playoffs (his job probably depends on it).
Opinions only (all solid plays, I think):
Bobcats/Hawks OVER
Grizzlies
Clippers
