Tuesday's NIT games
Michigan hasn't left home since NIT started, but Old Dominion won two of three NIT games on road (Colorado, Hofstra) as the year of CAA continues; Monarchs are 71-97 from foul line in its three NIT games, its foes are 34-54. Michigan is 27-59 from arc (45.8%) in NIT, but all three games were at home; now they're on neutral court- they had lost seven of last nine games before the NIT. Monarchs won eight of last ten games; they lost 84-81 on neutral court to Wisconsin in November tournament, only Big 11 team they faced. Wolverines lost five in row away from home
Louisville covered seven of last eight games, but their last win away from Freedom Hall was Jan 7 at Providence. Cardinals' last loss was on this court in Big East tourney, when Pitt blew them out in first half, then held off last UofL rally in the second half. Cardinals haven't left home since then, while Gamecocks, NIT's defending champ, won two road games to be here, at Florida St, Cincinnati (UC was down two starters). Eight of last eleven SC games were decided by four or less points. Gamecocks split pair vs Big East teams, winning at Cincinnati, losing to Pitt 58-51.
