ucla will get smacked by lsu... they are not a good team and if it was not for the men in stripes tonight they would not have come close to winning this game... the refs took memphis out of the game even more so than the ucla defense did... the kids couldnt get into any rythm because they couldnt get any burn because of bullshit fouls... at least in the texasg game they let the kids play and it was entertaining... absolute bullshit on the part of those guys controlling the outcome instead of the kids...

Obviously more fouls were called on Memphis, but Memphis still lost the game w/ their horrid shooting. They shot 30% from the field for crying out loud, and were 2 for 17 from 3 point (11%), and those 2 made threes were after the game was over. Memphis played in a weak conference, and played no team that could match their athleticism until tonight, and it showed.

Howie, I have to disagree with the last part of your statement...check the schedule, Memphis beat UCLA by 8 earlier this year, and whil enot athletic, they lost to Duke by 3, beat Alabama (who is VERY athletic) and beat Gonzaga. They have played teams that athletic, including the one they lost to! They were just awful tonight.

You cant expect those kids to shoot a good percentage from the field when players like Joey Dorsey sit for about 14 minutes in the first half because of foul trouble mostly on crap calls and Carney sittin for the better part of the first half as well... if theyre not gonna get the chance to play we cant expect them to be into the game...

I would love to see that game re-played with the referee crew from the Texas/LSU game there instead... that was a fantastic game and the refs let it be physical... if that happened I have to believe Memphis would have prevailed and the game would have been nothing like it really was...

This is not to take away from UCLAs defense or gameplan however... the foul trouble was rediculous... you could see how it was about 2 minutes into the game...hard to watch after that
