Japan hasn't lost a game legitimately in the WBC. You'll recall they had the US beat were it not for an awful call on a tag play. They walloped a Korean team that outplayed the US. Big pro-Japan crowd in San Diego. Cuban team is a bunch of guys who would be in the major leagues but is slight favorite on hype. Japan is the better team, besides how can you root for a country that threatens to kill relatives of a player who wants to come to the US to play? One other thing, Sadaharu Oh as a manager is a very cool thing.
