I like four games a lot tonite and two more a little but I am in a brutal slump. I've lost six in a row including a 2* loss by a point and a half yesterday on the Grizzlies. Six in a row! For this reason, I'm going with my two strongest and will post the others as opinions. As I said, I really like these plays but you should know that right now I'm ice cold.
2* Blazers +4
Portland had Milwaukee on the ropes Saturday nite in Milwaukee and just missed and catches them at home tonite in a back to back. There's no reason the home court shouldn't make the difference. Milwaukee is hanging on to a playoff spot solely because the teams below them (Bulls, Sixers, Celtics) keep losing. Blazers are probably without Randolph but Milwaukee probably won't have Mo Williams and they are much worse without him.
1* Notre Dame +3 1/2
Irish is 9-2 ATS on the road this year. If anyone hasn't noticed, the Big East is playing great in the NCAA and the Big Ten has made a collective fool of itself. Michigan was a mid-packer in an awful league while Notre Dame was competivie in the nation's best conference. All those close losses by ND earlier have a way of evening out.
Opinions only (in order of preference):
Creighton. (I actually like this play a lot because it's a match-up of the overrrated ACC and the under-rated Missouri Valley. But the 4 1/2 points make me a little timid.)
Lakers. (Playing the west versus the east is almost a no-brainer right now.)
Hawks. (I got on the Pistons ATS slide early and idiotically stopped playing it. Detroit, as I predicted, is worn out and has lost eight of nine ATS. But Atlanta had a tough OT win yesterday and is probably gassed.)
Hofstra. (Another case of an underrated league, Colonial, against an overrated one, A-10.)
The way my luck is going right now, I go 4-0 on the opinions and 0-2 on the rated plays. Good luck tonite.
