you have to be kidding me... they make so much money it is ridiculous.. so when they are on a timeout, the are discussing a way to mess with the over/under or the pointspread???
well, how do they know which way to mess with it?
people on the over last nite are not crying, its how it happens sometimes and i am sure it happen in you favor many times but people forget the winners and only remember the bad beats..
antione walker makes probably 7 -8 mil a yr. he shot the ball probably to try to boost is points per game average and not to "screw the under bettors in the game"

i remember that perfectly....i didnt have any money on that game but i remember saying to myself that that meaningless dunk covered the spread and the over in that game...if you were on the other side it must have been shitty..like the time duhon hit the 3 against uconn to lose by 1 when line was 1.5..i was on the wrong side there and its been the most fustrating loss ever for me..

ditto for me. as i was watching that game, with a ton of money on uconn. a friend of kept saying "you win, you win". boy, was he wrong. so was i. i wanted to shoke his neck. for that jinx. by the way. did you notice ben gordon saying, "all i need is one". with his index finger sticking up. and that's exactly what he did.

I don't think it is discussed during a timeout and that many players do it, but I do believe that certain players on occasion for reasons other than financial(which I mentioned earlier) derive some kind of pleasure out of trying to influence the pointspread winner in a game.
Remember some of these players are not exactly of the Einstein variety and were not exactly raised as model citizens.
Thus try not to use too much logic.
