  • Spears Wed NBA Plays

Holding off of posting college hoops at this time of year- went 4-1 last night following Rips fades and a nice pro play on the Over in Phoenix and Seattle at the half- RJ was on that game as well.
My lines are not up yet so I am taking lines from another source. These look solid and hopefully should hit. Lines should go upas the day goes on.

    Detroit Under 1st Half Under 97 (194/2)
    Dallas 1st Half -2
    Dallas -5

Teaser ( did get this one in early)
    Detroit Pistons -2
    Dallas Mavericks +1
    (Teased 5.0 points)

Why Dallas---Houston 0-10 vs division. Rockets are 0-6 this year as Home dogs losing all those games by 6 or more points. Dallas also enjoys a 6 turnover differential. Mcgrady is out. But so is Josh Howard for Dallas (saving him for the playoffs)

    Why Detroit-
Toronto has played well but from the trends it shows it is playing better in the second half of games.

--TORONTO is 0-7 against the 1st half line (-7.7 Units) in March games this season.
    The average score was TORONTO 47.8, OPPONENT 51.0 - (Rating = 1*)

--TORONTO is 1-10 against the 1rst half line (-10.0 Units) against Central division opponents this season.
    The average score was TORONTO 45.6, OPPONENT 55.5 - (Rating = 2*)

Why Under- (Toronto plays no defense but Detroit certainly does)

--DETROIT is 38-16 UNDER (+20.4 Units) the 1st half total in road games in games attempting around the same number of free throws as opponents over the last 2 seasons.
The average score was DETROIT 45.5, OPPONENT 43.0

--TORONTO is 4-14 against the 1st half line (-11.4 Units) versus teams who make 6 or more 3 point shots/game on the season this season.
    The average score was TORONTO 46.6, OPPONENT 54.3 - (Rating = 2*)

Good Luck Vinnie- and to all who follow. Yuri- As I wrote to Kapt- these games in March madness are a much different universe than in the regular season. I mentioned apples and oranges before as a metaphor. Cappers go by sytems, trends, facts, stats, coaching, injuries, and emotional edges. These are easier within conferences becuz they have a tale of the tape. But as we will see once again- the pups have more enthusiam at being at the big and little dance. I play mostly .5 units and allow myself the action without much to worry about. Pro Hoops and Hockey has even better value as the playing field has become better known. But-Baseball is my prime money maker- so why not have a good time and tournament! Play conservative and pick your spots - and I don't mean on tilt. Best of luck to all of you guys and see if we can pick up a little here and there. These plays tonight are well thought out. Many may feel Dallas is a trap- I just happen to play the teaser in respect of that trap. Just seems like the line is so low.

                Very good points Spear.
The fun is finding the motivated pup, placing a small wager and having fun rooting for 'em. Half the fun is finding those great matchups.

                  Thanx Yuri-

Many of you are heading to vegas- Word is that the seats are practically gone in the sports betting areas- so get the bets in early. Have a great time and forget renting a car. You will save more time and have less problems by using other transportation. Have fun----- Note: Tenn looks good in its spot to make the sweet 16.
