I have been waiting all year for this.
Flight leaves Newark Airport at 8pm on Wednesday night and arrives at 10pm local time. Pickup suitcase and then head over to the rental car office. Over to the Rio to check in, probably a late dinner at the cafe and then maybe a few hands of Hold Em. In bed by 2:30am. Basketball starts mighty early on the left coast.
Up no later than 830am. Log in to the in-room internet and scan BettorsChat.com. Swap pleasantries with Wayne and make sure I'm on the right side of town with my plays. Get all daytime picks squared away for the tourney and head downstairs for breakfast. After eating, head over to the poker room which overlooks the sportsbook and play some $300 buy in NL HE. Have first Strawberry Smirnov RedBull and Cran.
Make enough loot playing cards to cover my daytime losses in the games where Wayne and I differed in opinion. Cash out and head back to the room to see what Wayne likes in the evening sessions. Get everything in for the night games and head back down for a bite to eat... then back to the Poker Table to continue my assault on El Touristo's bank roll. Have sixth Strawberry Smirnov RedBull and Cran.
As final basketball game is coming down to the wire, get involved in a monster pot. It doesn't matter win or lose because I will be on the opposite side in the basketball game, thereby making the early evening session only slightly profitable. Don't worry, all profits will be spent on drinks and dinner before my "friends" convince me to quit wasting my time playing poker and to play big money winning games like craps roulette and blackjack. Have tenth Strawberry Smirnov RedBull and Cran.
At some point I'll realize what a bad idea this is, lose the last of the cash I have (had) on me, hit the ATM Machine and head back to the poker room. Order first SoCo with lime juice on the rocks. Wash it down with fifteenth Strawberry Smirnov RedBull and Cran.
Make all of the money I lost playing "Guess The Number" and "Rock Paper Scissors" back and a little bit for my time. In bed by 4am. Basketball starts mighty early on the left coast.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Fly home on Monday afternoon. Pass out for 3 days.
