In the NIT play AGAINST the bubble teams that did not make it to the NCAA. They are pissed they aren't in the NCAA and usually don't give a shit what happens in the NIT. This makes Cinc, Florida State, Creighton and Michigan good play against teams. Missouri State and Hofstra are happy to have a chance to play against Major Conference schools so I would not play against them. Just something to think about.

Take Louisville in its 1st game vs the winner of deleware st or lou. tech. I will comment on this when i know who the cards will play. And i know all of you will be sitting on the edge of your seats for that info.lol
Sandman is right on - the NIT is the equivalent of the Holiday Bowl - the landing place for teams who just missed playing in the big game. And motivation is a key factor - who wants to be there, who has something to prove? Teams like Michigan, Maryland and Cincy have got to feel that by missing out on the NCAAs their seasons are already over (especially for Cincy, who had 14 seasons in a row in the NCAAs put out). Sandman, would be very interested to hear your thoughts on other teams who you think are highly motivated and those that aren't.

That's kinda hard to do, other than the ones I mentioned. A good rule of thumb is to play the Mid-Major Conference teams OVER the Major Conference teams. Except for South Carolina. This is even stronger if the Mid Major team is in the Post Season for the first time in a long time. A good example is to play Akron over Temple. Just think what is going thru Temples mind. From a big upset over George Washington to a game against Akron. Akron? Hope this helps a little. The most important thing to remember is don't think you have to play every game. That's a sure way to lose.
