  • Nothing like a little NFL talk: Saints are not interested in Lienart or Young.......

In the past few days they have made an offer to San Diego's Drew Breeze. First a 5 years contract for 6 Million a year with a huge signing bonus........ Rumor has it he wanted to listen to the Dolphins offer this weekend. Miami has 6Million to off him. The rumor has it that Saints have upped the offer to $10 Million/year - 5 year - plus signing bonus and incentive bonuses for Breeze.

Personally, I'd rather see Breeze in New Orleans than either Young or Lienart. On top of that, I'd like to see them maybe trade down and take 4th or 5th pick and select A.J. Hawk, the OLB from OSU. They are also looking at replacing Wayne Gandy with the 2nd pick though by taking Brickhouse.... I think Gandy is good enough still. Take Hawk!!!

Saints are willing to pay him $4 million more a year than Miami?

I wouldn't want Young for sure

The reason for this is if Miami really wants Brees, then they'll release their QB and free up $4 Million, so the Saints just upped it right away.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but Lienart wears 2 knee braces when he plays. I'd much rather the QB that been in the league a few years and proven himself the last few, than a college draft pick that is still unknown.
