Ok guys, I'm starting this thread and will post all my picks in here and keep a running tally. Only have 1 play out so far. Its a big play.
Albany +23 Monster Burger!!!!!!!!!!
Breakdown. Uconn comes into this game as a #1 seed and coming off a loss to Syracuse. You would think that UCONN would be up for this game right?? Wrong. Uconn IMO has looked disinterested many times during the year. If they tried every game they go undefeated. Fact is, they will win this game. If fact they will win by DD. But 23??? I ask anyone backing UCONN friday to tell me how a team that cant get up for the big east tourny and a couple other big east regular season games can get up for an opponet that is a 16 seed out of the America East conference??
As for albany. It is the schools 1st trip to the big dance. It's their 7th season in Div. 1. Albany won the America East conference with a (13-3) record. 21-10 overall. Coach Will Brown is solid and always has his team focused. I expect nothing less on friday. Jr. G. Jamar Wilson is a STUD, i've said this before. The kid can flat out play. I dont give a fuck who is defending him. Sr G. Lucious Jordan is also a solid player. F. Brent Wilson is a good 3pt shooter and compliments jamar,lucious well. In the middle the danes have a 7'1 boston college transfer named Kirsten Zoellner. The kid isnt a shooter he only averages 48% from the free throw line, but his presense in the paint is huge. He fills lanes great and can rebound. Should be a fun game this friday.
Note: albany played @ UCLA early in the year and was trailing the bruins by 5 @ halftime and lost the game by 8. This shouldnt really come into play for this game as that game was months ago. I'm just throwing it out there cause UCLA is a #2 seed.
