Pressure changes everything. The final weekend of the conference tournaments is the highest pressure teams have faced so far this season. Some teams like Duke are used to such pressure, many teams are not. The more a team has played in pressure situations, the better that team will respond. Wake Forest's good play in the ACC tourney has been a shock to me. I believe its a fluke. Despite two upsets, I question this team as they came into this tournament as losers of 13 of their last 18 games. They also underperformed in conference play posting a poor 4-13 conference record. Duke lead the ACC in all five offensive categories and averages an amazing 82 points per game. I also point out their defensive accolades as they also led the ACC in three point defense and are second in the league in turnover margin. I think Duke is well aware that an impressive showing in the conference coupled with the Villanova and UCONN losses could cement a #1 overal seed in the NCAA tournament. Coach K will have them ready to play tomorrow. Duke comes into the ACC tournament having lost just a single conference game all season. Duke won both meetings vs. Wake Forest this season convincing, 82-64 and 93-70. All Dukies today.
