I hit a big 2* top play last night with the Hawks and was right on my posted opinion on the Rockets. Unfortunately, I lost another college game with a moronic pick on Butler. As you can see from the above records, I am extremely strong in the NBA and a dope on college. Today, I'm sticking to what I know. No college today!
1* Rockets -2 1/2
McGrady is still a question mark and didn't play last nite but I like Houston either way. The Rockets WILL make the playoffs and are on a huge run right now. They've won 13 of 17 and have gotten rid of dead weight malcontents (Jon Barry, etc.). The Rockets are off until Sunday after this game so Van Gundy will likely play his starters a lot of minutes. This is a BIG game for Houston. Indiana looked awful in being drubbed on their home court by the Knicks and must now travel to play a surging team. I would urge betting this game immediately because if McGrady plays, this line will go to at least -4 1/2.
1* Bucks +2
Normally, I play the hot team and avoid the up-and-down teams. But the Kings may be dragging in the middle of their road trip (despite a couple of outstanding wins). My angle here is that the Bucks---who are on the playoff bubble---were called out by their owner yesterday. He normally never says anything but made it clear the team needs to step it up and play to talent levels. Milwaukee is in the middle of a long home stand and has had thre days rest.
