I had a huge Sunday, winning a 2* top play on the Sonics who covered by 30! I also hit with Houston's rout. I'm now 5-1 my last six after coming out of a rotten 1-5 slide the previous week.
2* Hawks +1 1/2
I reaaaallllly like this game. Atlanta is playing very well and should have beaten the Heat in Miami Sunday night. In the past ten days, they have beaten the Pacers on the road, and won overtime games against the Raptors and Nets before just missing to the Heat. The Warriors are dead. Their playoff hopes are over and while they are finally healthy, they appear to be going through the motions. They've lost three in a row and six of their last seven and played very uninspired Sunday at Minnesota.
1* Butler +5
I almost made this a 2* top play but I'm very cautious with my few college plays. Suffice to say, I like this one a lot, too. UW-Milwaukee has four of its starters back from the team that went to the Sweet 16 last year but they don't have the same coach. Bruce Pearl has turned Tennessee around in one year and was responsible for the big year at UW-Milwaukee last year. Their new coach has changed the offense and is running the weave that is used by his mentor, Wisconsin's Bo Ryan. This is insane for a run and shoot squad like UW-Milw. They won the conference regular season title but didn't play well down the stretch. While this game is on Milwaukee's home court, I like Butler in a straight up win. Butler's been sensational down the stretch and won its tournament semifinal game in an absolute rout.
Note: I like the Rockets in the NBA tonite but only if McGrady is 100 percent. He's questionable at the moment and might not play at all. I may post a play later if I have more info on his status.
