Dude I'm 21 and have used that terrible technique many of times...and gotten in the hole from it. As we get older we'll learn that it can't all come at once. That competitive streak is what drives a lot of the guys betting these games. For me the best technique is to put in my plays and either scoreboard watch or not but once they're in they're in and that's that. GLGreat Day To Win
MLB 2008 (19-23-1) +3.0 units
NBA 08-09 (10-7) + 1.59 units
GOY (4-1)

well you have to deal with the psychological part of it as well jables...
what I am saying is, don't get into the mindset that you are gonna win x amount of dollars tonight no matter what. Instead, think, I am playing x base amount on these games, and I'll probably win 1 more game than I lose so I'll be up 1 unit, and I'll be happy with that.
You have to prepare yourself to lose some games, and be ready to deal with the emotions WHEN you lose games, not if. Preparation always leads to success.
I dont know if I made sense there, but I think I did. I TOTALLY agree with the base amount, and if not, then I believe in only 2 amounts (e.g. $50 and $100, no more)Everybody dies, but not everyone lives.

My advice to you my friend is to QUIT betting......
If you can't control yourself you're heading for trouble.
Your pattern will get you into a serious bind and you will end up losing more than you have.
.....Now since I know you won't quit. Maybe cut your bet size down for a while. And practice some restraint.
PS Or just keep doing what you're doing because I know your Uncle has plenty of money. Nice cars, motorcylces big screen LCD TV's. (You can't hide money Bro)Remember the three R's:
Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

I cannot tell you what to do. I personally try for 3 to 5 plays on a big card. what im shooting for is 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5. I parlay the plays (2 teams only) instead of unloading it on one game. If you go 3 out of 5 round robin on two team parlays you can show a decent profit with out a lot of risk.

Just please be careful.....I had the same problem 6 years ago and it burnt me big time. If you think you have a problem, get help. If you don't think you have a problem....just don't wager more than you can afford too lose. Gambling can break you in a hurry, as I found out a long time ago. I've scaled it way back to $100 per unit, and usually never play more than 3 units on a game. Never chase, that's why my local lives in a half a million dollar house!!!!!

I would take rips rating plays and dollar store specials and plays those only. i have great respect for rips rating plays, but if youre down, i dont think i would play a +300 dog, but maybe on the puckline or just play the basketball.Last edited by spreadcrusher1; 03-02-2006, 09:16 AM.
