Power Ratings Questions

How exactly are the power ratings that ripple puts out calculated? I am not looking for the formula but is it something he does by himself or is it something he gets somewhere? Thanks.

i get them from a few sites..i have to look at everygame and see which ones they pick,,they put a star next to the team with there line..most days it doesnt take long but sometimes its alittle nerve racking with the big cards..i wasnt around yesterday sorry i didnt answer ur question sooner..thanks..ill have todays asap
