Sunday's List of 13: Quick notes on a snowy Sunday
13) NBA needs more guys like Elton Brand; he would be an excellent choice for MVP this season, although Steve Nash is also very deserving.
12) Six kids left SEC teams early last spring, to go to the NBA; none of the six got drafted.
11) Geoff Ogilvy played extra holes his first three matches in World Match Play tournament, winning all three.
10) ESPN could have done better job of updating scores from other matches during early rounds. If Eldrick Woods is on TV they seem to lose sight of everything else.
9) After Saturday's loss at Georgetown, Jim Boeheim now has career record of 29-30 against the Hoyas.
8) Tennessee's CJ Watson wore Bernard King's #53 jersey to honor the former Vol star in Saturday's game vs Arkansas.
7) Arkansas' Jonathon Modica has the coolest hometown of any player we know this year: Smackover, Arkansas.
6) San Diego State won its first regular season title since 1978 when they won at New Mexico Saturday. Steve Fisher, who has won a national title, won his first regular season title.
5) Soneone explain to me how Jason Kidd was traded twice in his career? Funny thing, two teams that traded him are very good teams, Suns and Mavericks.
4) When the LA Sports Arena was built in 1959, it cost a total of $7,407,644 to build. Think they got their money's worth.
3) Washington State allowed 43 points Thursday, then 39 on Saturday, yet somehow lost both games. At home. Yuk.
2) Is Isiah Thomas the most ridiculed executive in the history of sports? I can't think of anyone who has done a worse job.
1) Marvin Lewis wants to cut the player who leaked word of Chad Johnson's halftime outburst during their playoff loss to the Steelers. Problem is, he doesn't know who it was. Word is it was a starter, so Lewis better be careful, just in case it was Carson Palmer.
