I'm liking Russia -1/2 -120 but just small. Don't like them as much as I did the Sweeds. But think it will be low scoring Russia 3-2. BUT there is always a chance it ends in a tie after 3 and the above bet would lose. And like I had said in an earlier post Putan is giving each Russian player 250,000 if they can bring home Gold. GL

Beat Kaz- 1-0, Beat Latvia 9-2, Beat USA 5-4...

Finland Beat Swiss 5-0, Italy 6-0, Czechs 4-2, Canada 2-0, Germany 2-0, Usa 4-3...

What does this tell me....absolutely nothing!

My own gut feeling is dogfight either way, however, good offensive teams have scored against either team.

Goalies are in for a lot of shots, 60 minute game, fast and furious...winner of this game, IMO wins gold.

I am playing Russia for..... 2 units at -1/2 (-125)
Over 5.......................... 3 units @ +115
(Hedge bet Finland/over par...... ML 1 unit @ +160, if if makes you feel better)

This Should Be One Hell Of Game...russia Has Just As Many High Flying Forwards As The Finns Do...i Think They Can Contain Their Top Line Of Selanne-koivu-lehtinen ....russia Loves This Open Ice Just As Much The Finns Do....russia Plays Team Hockey Like Nobodys Business And I Think They HAVE More Skilled Players Top To Bottom.they Also Play More Physical Hockey And As Long As They Stay Out Of The Box They Should Win This Game. Russia Also Keeps Skaters Out Of The Middle Ice And Alleys, Thus Creating Low Percentage Shots On Goal.....i Like Russia In This Spot! Personally-i Like The Over 5 In This Game But Will Not Bet It....

A couple of notes on this game:

- History definitely favors Russia.
- Malkin is not playing for Russia today (suspended). He would be one of those players that would play extra hard for the $$$
- Majority of the players on each team are in the NHL so $$$ for gold might not be a big deal as some people on this tread make it to be.
- Nabokov is hot, but so is the Finn goalie
