  • Last Night At The Allstar Game..

When Down By A 20 4 Pistons were put in and paul pierce, they came back all the way to bring the margin within 6 and with help of dwayne wade and lebron, later on won...What does this say about the pistons..IMO Tayshon Prince is better than Paul Pierce all around, so the 5 starting Pistons would have still beaten the western ALLSTARS, Its pretty plain and simple to me who is going to win the chamionship this year...MOTOWN here comes the title..

I somewhat agree w/ you, Dan, but you can't put too much into the All-Star game. First, the type of play is way different than a regular game (obviously) in that everyone is trying to make Sportcenter. No real defense is played.

Secondly, you take a team (Pistons) that have played together a couple years, they are going to be a lot more effective that an even more talented group of players that have never played together.

It is becoming more evident in professional sports that the true TEAMS are winning. Not the teams with a bunch of good players. It is about chemistry and teamwork.

I too agree that despite all the hype about the West, Detroit should win the title. They are just too tough to beat over a 7 game series b/c they play defense. I see S.A. and Detroit again.

Dallas has played great, but I just don't see it. They falter every year in the playoffs. Same goes for Phoenix. Despite their record, anyone buying the Clippers in the playoffs?

    Detroit it is.

Tells me that we send the team that wins that wins the NBA championship to the Olympics, rather than a bunch of all stars

KAZ Honestly i think we would have more of a shot in the olympics sending a team thats been together for a while like the pistons and know all the essentials of the game...offense and defense and we will do better than sending egotisitical thugs we usually send

I totally agree....The I've been saying that for years. I think we could even send the NCAA National Champions and they'd win too. I think Duke could kill most international teams, even though I hate Duke

I agree that sending the championship team would definitely give the U.S. more of a shot in the olympics, but I don't think it'll be a "given" win. The one thing that the international teams do a hell of a lot better than the NBA players these days is PLAY THE GAME!!! NBA players can not shoot the ball like the world players can and on top of that.... the world players play a hell of a lot better defense than the average NBA team does. The Pistons in this case would most definitely give us a better shot though instead of a group of all-star showoffs.
