sea, Does a winner cheat the system? I cannot speak for all the players and I'm sure there were others...I did mention a few others...Sammy, Big Mac, Raffy...

He is feared but I think roids played a role...

I think not. Would he have been a above avg MLBer, probably, but not what he rose to...IMHO

I too can't stand Bonds but there have been thousands of players on roids and they couldn't do what Bonds did. I have NEVER seen pitchers more afraid of one batter in my life. He simply doesn't swing at a ball and that doesn't come from roids. When he makes contact your screwed or he walks. Scariest bat i've ever seen. I hate him but his plate awareness is UNMATCHED by any!

Sea & Wayne, I agree, best I've seen. It just sucks knowing what we know...cannot disagree w/ what he's done regardless, I just question if he could do it w/o the roids and I say NO...

Wayne, I'll slightly disagree about not swinging not coming from roids...

IMO, what the roids has done for Bonds and others to maybe a lesser degree, but to me it's obvious w/ Bonds...he gained a SUPERMAN mentality...his confidence and awareness, FOCUS is so honed in (again I think the roids helped this), that he see's the game so differently than 'all'...

Look at his early days...not only size diff but his game was so diff...age and wisdom and years in the MLB do not shape a player to be what he became at the age he did...players get better over time but then decline as they get older or peak then slowly fade into the sunset...his peak is has been at an age that is unheard of, especially from a hitting standpoint...

Again, I say he's maybe that 'ONE' FREAK of nature that enabled roids to do what it has for him...the others, the many others, they just didn't have the physical or biological make up that roids could do for Bonds...oh well. They still got millions too, just not Bonds type millions...LOL

Vinny if a thousand guys have been on roids and we both know there have been, why is he the only one in history with an eye like that. Roids doesn't tell you not to swing ... Sorry!

I think it helped him. In a weird psycho way, the roids helped...I'm not an expert on his early days (1st 5-10 yrs) but was he the same player then? I just think in the big picture of what roids can or cannot do, it's helped him more than others...IMO...again, he's the $hit and I've never seen anyone like him...so he is the greatest I've seen...I just put the asterisk by this knowledge...
