The guy is sooo blatant about his gambling I'm surprised the execs haven't spoken with him. Today at the end of the NC/WF game, with about a minute to go he says, "Well the game is now sitting at 150 points - a little lower scoring than some expected". (The total was 154 by the way). Then after a few garbage buckets to put the game at 155 for the final he suddenly stops talking and says, "That basket just put us up to 155 points", then he laughs and says, "Well folks, that is the crazy world of college basketball". Translated - He just hit the over. The guy is just classic with his comments - its almost like guys posting during a game here at BChat. Gamble 'on. Brent!

I have always loved Musberger as an announcer. I just loved the days of the NFL Today with Irv Cross, Jimmy The Greek, and Phyliss George. I can hear him now "You are now looking live at a sold out Soldier Field" and so on and so forth.
I don't ever remember him referencing gambling like he does now. But I guess back in the day gambling nationwide wasn't like it is now.
Thanks for posting that from the NC game yesterday. I was watching at the time, but didn't catch what he said. I knew it concerned the total though because of the posted total of 154
Al Michaels is classic also when someone scores late on Monday night in a blowout then he will say this game is now officially OVER!!!

Not sure if you guys heard him but he made a reference during the UNC game about betting on Nascar. He stated that Gordon and Earnhardt were both the favorites at 4-1 and that shows how far Nascar has come as a sport since people can gamble on it now. I also am suprised that Network people don't tell him to tone it down. I think it is hillarious.
