Friday's List of 13: Quick thoughts on a winter Friday
                13) If you coach in a major college basketball conference, and you miss the NCAA's two years in row, your job's in trouble.

                12) I can't even imagine what its like to be going 180 mph with 40 other drivers who all went to get to the same spot first.

                11) The best sound in the world is still a basketball swishing through a nylon net.

                10) There is an Olympic sport, where contestants ski, then get on their stomachs and shoot guns. Seriously.

                9) A country called Kazakhstan has an Olympic hockey team. Until I saw them play today, I never heard of that country.

                8) Wow, am I stupid about some things........

                7) How is arm wrestling not an Olympic sport? Or is it?

                6) I think we watch golf on TV, and it looks easy, but we lose sight of what an incredible amount of work it takes for those guys to get that good, then stay that good.

                5) College basketball has better refs than the NBA. Why?

                4) I would agree with Mike Davis, that the next Indiana coach needs to be a former Hoosier player. My question would be, how attractive a job is that now? If Steve Alford turns them down, they're going to have to pull a rabbit out of their hat.

                3) At a recent event, Vijay Singh asked PGA Tour officials to check Phil Mickelson's driver . Mickelson's driver passed all inspections. Even golf has its drama now.

                2) Pedro Martinez already has an injured toe. Will be curious to see if he tries to pitch in World Baseball Classic.

                1) Syracuse got booed off the court last night; ESPN is in the house for GameDay and the Louisville game Saturday. Seems like Orange missed a chance to capitalize on their NCAA title, as their recruiting just hasn't been very good. Turns out that Gerry McNamara isn't very good without Carmelo Anthony.

What have you done for me lately is the rule of thumb in sports...LOL

I did the track in Milwaukee during the 95th Harley Davidson party...140 MPH was top speed I did & it was NUTS...what a RUSH.

                  SWISH

Randy Whitman is name I'm hearing, but why would he?

I hate Vijay...never hear anything good from him or about him...all negative as he seems to have a chip. Would love to see someone smack him around.

Hate Pedro too...but was a hell of a pitcher for his size.

                  Cuse suck bad...
