  • Ricker#1 Sunday's Pick

1-2 Yesterday. Not a great as the San Fran Giants can not find their bats lately.

Sunday's Pick Boston Red Soxs ***** Play

Boston is 76-45 against teams who bat higher than .285 since 1997.

Tim Wakefield is 8-1 the past 3 seasons against teams who score more than 5.2 runs per game.

He is also 6-0 his last 6 starts working on 5 or 6 days of rest and 7-1 in road division games his last 8.

The Red Sox have taken 15 of 23 in this series at the Skydome.

The Red Sox, who went 13-14 in the month of May, enter the day one-half game in back of the New York Yankees for first place in the AL East.

They have lost four in a row, but have not lost five straight since a nine-game skid August 25 to September 4, 2001.

Red Sox's are too good to get swept in Toronto.

I like everything about your writeup except the last line.
Many a bettor has lost a lot of money over they years taking the philosophy that one team could not get swept by another;things like that do happen-it is only one game.

      2nd Pick : Cinn Reds +1 1/2 Run Line *** Play

Cinn Reds should take the rubber game down in Miami today.

John Rielding goes for Cincy. He throws hard and has good movement on his fastball.

He also mixes in a nice curve and slider.

In two road starts this year he has a 2.08 ERA.

He tossed shutout ball for 6 2/3 innings in his previous start against the Braves.

Carl Pavano has been up and down this year for the Fish.

Today should be a down day as the homer-hitting Reds get the job done.

Well 1-1 Today going into tonight. Overall 6-3 in last three (3) days

3rd Pick Atlanta Braves *** Play

It is not often Atlanta is listed at such a favorable price.

Ramirez (3.76 ERA) has better overall numbers than Leiter (4.21 ERA) for the season and much better numbers than Leiter in their last 3 respective starts.

Moreover, the Braves are an awesome 37-18 overall this year, are 18-9 on the road this season, are batting .300 in their last 10 games overall and are the number two money team in all of baseball.

In turn, the Mets stats range from middle of the road to back of the pack.

And while Atlanta lost yesterday to New York, they have still taken 7 of the past 10 meetings in this series and I do not see them losing back to back games against a team like the Mets.

After all, Atlanta has lost back to back games only once in the past six weeks!!!
