Hey just a question for you guys ... does the winner of the Bud Shootout get an automatic spot in the 500 or is it just a combo of qualifying and the twin 150's ... Qualifying for the Daytona 500 has always confused me a bit ... thanks in advance ....

The BudShootout is basically a all star race of all the pole sitters from the previous season.. The outcome has nothing to do with where they will start the 500 at.. Just gives the ones that is in it a little more "On Track Experience".. The 1st 2 spots for the 500 were locked in today during qualifying.. They will set the rest of the field at the Twin 125's Thursday..
