Wednesday's List of 13: Nobody asked me, but...........
        13) My idea for NBA All-Star Weekend: A basketball festival, with 32 All-Stars chosen, seeded into a 1-on-1 tournament, with winner getting $1 million to be given to charity of his choice. Believe me, a 1-on-1 final will become a huge event: Iverson-Duncan? Bryant-McGrady?

Then you'd also have the rookie/sophomore game, 3-point contest, skills competition and dunk contest. Eliminating the actual All-Star Game will work, because it is a half-hearted contest most of the time anyway.

        12) Not only is Janet Jones Gretzky a knockout, but she bets on sports? Does she have a sister?

        11) With trade deadline approaching, expect Isiah Thomas to make one last gasp to save his job with another series of roster shuffles, as he hopes to get lucky and wind up with a decent team. Whomever takes his place is going to have one mess on his hands.

        10) Tennessee's Bruce Pearl looked like a human popsicle in a orange sportscoat Tuesday; then his team laid licking on the Wildcats at Rupp Arena, winning for just second time in last 27 visits to Lexington. Tennessee continues to impress.

        9) Underrated classic blunder; the Bulls trading Elton Brand. Any trade that makes the Clippers a power has to be a classic blunder.

        8) Having watched Gonzaga play several teams in WCC play, it appears that Adam Morrison is very thin-skinned about physical contact. He whines a lot to officials, and often seems to lose his poise. Stay in school another year, son, the NBA is lot more rough than playing Santa Clara and St Mary's.

        7) Odds for next year's Super Bowl champ: Colts 4-1/Seattle, Patriots 5-1/Steelers, Carolina 6-1.

        6) The NFL wants higher scoring games, to jack up ratings on TV, but they change the ball on every play, making QBs/WRs /RBs handle a slick ball every play. Brilliant.

        5) Basketball uses one ball a game; it gets clanged off rim almost 100 times a game, bounced off the floor hundreds of times more, yet that is the only ball used the whole game. But the NFL has to change the ball after every play. Not good.

        4) How come every time Eldrick Woods gets into a playoff, it seems like his opponent hits ball out of bounds? Is he that intimidating?

        3) In 2003, nine guys on PGA Tour averaged 300+ yards a drive. Last year, 25 guys did. This year, with some of the big hitters' stats not yet eligible to be ranked, 22 guys are already hitting it 300+ yards. Is the equipment that much better?

        2) This is similar to the home run boom of the late 80's, where striking out became OK, as long as you swung for the fences. The current credo? "A wedge in the rough is better than a 7-iron in the fairway."

        1) Hell, these guys are raking it 355 down the middle of the short grass, and I can't hit my ball without a windmill getting in the way. Doesn't seem fair.

Spark, some classics in your 13!! I'd like to respond to a few...

          #12, I married her sister...LOL
#8, I kept saying before everyone he reminded me of Larry Bird. After watching him the other night, I'll retract that due to his cry baby antics. I think he's been in the dorm room too much watching ESPN of himself. Just play.
          #6, IDIOTS
          #4, YES they are.
#3, Woods himself said that the guys on the tour are all now training/lifting, dev big swings for distance, so this doesn't surprise me.

          Your the best Spark!!!

          Thx
          FUCK YOU, FUCK ME
