I find it hard to believe that is the reason that he didnt go, I heard on a local sports talk show...that his son had a game, not sure what he plays but he wanted to stay home with him and his family. Although being honored should be a great, Joe has never been big on the attention, he practically dissappeared after he retired, he has been to plenty Super Bowls and probably didnt want to mess with the whole spectical and personally I dont blame him one bit. I dont buy the money thing, the freaking media always wants to blow shit out of proportion and basically just get attention.
