  • The Refs Suck

If you are in the endzone and fully extend your arm into a defensive back (no matter how hard you push him), you run the risk of getting an offensive pass interference. Not to mention right in front of the zebra.

Roethlisberger was savvy enough to get it over the goal line, after he was already down...this influenced the refs on field call...there is no doubt the replay can not overturn the on field call...this was a tough break, but happens all the time (one obvious game that comes to mind is the TB Gruden going for two and beating WASH)

that holding call was a bad call...if you blitz and attack the QB from everywhere like the Steelers do, then you are goign to get more of those calls...they made their own 'luck' in that instance

the penalty on hasselbeck making the tackle was horrible

i agree that these refs were absolutly brutal. These are suppose to be the best refs they got??? WOW. NFL needs to do something and do something fast or people are really gonna start to wonder

I disagree! IMO there were two clear angles that showed the ball never crossed the line.

If it was that obvious why did the ref run 30 yards before making the call? That ref had a clear view of Ben moving the ball over the goal line after he was down. The camera angle clearly shows the ref running about 30 yards. He never made the call until he was about 10 yards away.

IMO this goes down as the worst officiated SB that I can remember. They were brutal.

yep they were brutal on both sides. Seattle TE caught the ball took a step and got hit and fumbled it and they called it incomplete. it was a catch

I watched all of the same replays. In my opinion, they could not have changed the call if the ref said 'No TD' either. Replay could not save the officials or team involved in this instance.

I agree! That was clearly a catch and a fumble. They couldn't review the call because the refs blew the call dead. After they ruled incomplete the play was dead.

Once again I disagree with you. After half time they showed a reply from about the 10 yard line. The replay was focused on Bettis. IMO that angle clearly showed the ball never crossed the plane.

yep but the thing that pissed me off was that, that play wasnt even a bang bang play, the guy caught it turned took a step and got JACKED UP!!! then lost the ball. No way it wasnt a catch, it clearly was. those refs should be fired. or atleast ashamed of themselves

Correct. From my angle he took 2 steps. Another horrible call.

everytime the seahawks got the ball close in the red zone, the refs saved the stealers asses--the score should have been 28-21 seahawks
