Can I make a suggestion that will stop a lot of the nonsense....
Can we have a Sticky Thread that's just for this type of thing...
Stickey it at the top of All Discussion and make it known that if you have to bitch about a game that you have to do it in that thread and that thread only.....Have the Title "Please read before continuing this Section"
This will stop a lot of it from coming into our threads every night and those guys can moan and groan any time they want....And for all the others here that don't want to hear it, don't have to, and they can ignore that thread.
And for any one that continues to do it in someones thread, give them a 2 day bann for bashing...
We need to put an end to this before it pushes everyone away....I should know because I have thought about it many times....

When I first started, I'd try to watch 5 channels at once and only betting on games that I could see or get quick updates on the internet. Needless to say, I missed out on a lot of good games and chased a good bit (there's always the west coast games to make it up on!! ) I've finally learned (albiet slowly) to make the bets, go on about my night, check before I go to bed and accept my losses or give that quiet little fist pump for the wins.

I rarely watch the games I bet. Especially in basketball. You'll drive yourself crazy with the ebbs and flows in a hoops game. I do things to keep me busy. Spend time with my kids. Watch TV. Surf the internet. I usually check the scores of the NBA games I bet about 2 hours after they start. The 10:30 games I go to bed. I wait till the morning to check the scores.

Best of all! I'm not on an emotional rollercoaster all night.

much wisdom here and i agree.......i have always said to my people, "don't complain...nobody listens anyways".......If something fires you up night after night where you want "to beat a ref with a pipe" (was how i think cantstopme put it) and delve into conspiracy theories about officials, how people are in on the fix, then there should be another outlet in your life that #1 will not lose you money #2 will not lose your sanity

if gambling makes you do irrational things then it is not for you....trust me...you will not win.....it is not for (overly) emotional people in the long run.......(do i get pissed....hell yes...but i do not dwell and swear or effect my life)......i am just guessing that many of the complainers are young guys who are full of piss and vinegar and maybe do not have as deep of pockets......On one hand i feel their pain.....on the other this should be looked at as a sign of what this business is...and must ask yourself if you have the emotional makeup to handle it........

Good right up tony.....My problem is i HATE losing....it's not the money because i dont bet more than what i can afford to lose i just cant stand when i am wrong....drives me nuts i am very competitive....Gambling used to affect my life alot....now i make my bets and go on with my day but when i lose i still get pretty pissed.

The funny thing was....in the ND game, I complained, this is maybe my first or second time early in a game saying anything then IM the one getting jumped on for complaining?? Ive been here very long and I know people hate to see it but I have to let it out somewhere and for him to tell me it gets old when I do it rarely if ever is quite funny..

Boy ...... After really thinking about this, it's a tough call and i really don't think a good idea. No monoriting? What if people go crazy with emails, links, phone numbers, addys??? Would that help us or makes things a nightmare for Monte?

I also think some really good guys and girls could be unrightfully abused in very bad, sick, disgusting, or just negative ways. There are some really heartless people on the net and we've seen some here. Do we really want psycho people coming here and cutting people up? I really think (and you know) fights will break out nightly with many horrible things said.

Do we really want to go down that road or would it be going backwards?

I like the deleting of totally useless "This fucken team sucks ass" threads 5 minutes after tip off (not late or after games) because people would stop doing it if they knew it would be erased.

Dimer, I've been working on getting that Neckar forum changed to the "Photo Shop" for all the naked ladies or funny photos people like jimmy make up of members here. I think it would be very popular. You like it? Any others like it?
