  • Post Seattle/carolina Post

This is the first I've posted since the NFC Championship game. First off let me congratulate the Seahawk Backers with their lopsided win Sunday evening. I am not crying in my beer, but the Team that Carolina put on the Field Sunday was not the same team that I have watched in previous weeks. The defense looked as though it was in slow motion and the offensive line couldn't or wouldn't block anyone. Jake Delhomme was throwing the ball to wide open recievers and the only ones that was catching the ball were the ones wearing a different Jersey. Of course the Players that were on his team were not given the chance to catch the ball because of poor throws. I know that great defense causes turnovers and mistakes, but some of those throws were just outright hideous. I am not accusing anyone of doing anything illegal but this game was almost too theatrical to be on the up and up. Yes, I lost money, but that is not my reason for this post. The reason for this post is to make a statement. The Players in the NFL are paid professionals. They are Heros to young and old alike. If it wasn't for the paying public, where would they be. The fans deserves every Player to give 110% on every play whether their up by 30 or down by 30. This is their Job that pays them well to play well, not go out and just go thru the motions. With all of this been said I'm Leaning toward Pitt to win the Superbowl, but what the hell do I know.

Try to remember that was an extremely difficult spot for Carolina. It was their 4 consecutive road game. It wasn't just a road game it was a road game across the country and in one of the toughest NFL stadiums.

I was watching ESPN before in the morning. Steve Yound said something that really hit home. He said "people don't realize how tough it is to play a road game. Come home for a few days, then travel across the country and play another road game".

Upon hearing that I immediately placed a sizeable wager on Seattle.
