  • Is it me? College road teams suck!!!

I can't tell you how many times recently I've bet a road underdog in college or road favorite and gotten beat.

Tonight...Furman, Syracuse, Okl St and I'm sure if I went back, I could name a bunch more. I mean a bunch...

I'm going to be damn careful about betting road teams in college hoops....Any thoughts? This shit is killing my bankroll

The line takes in for home court value. The fans are stoked and the auditorium is loud. Frank can tell you probably better than anyone the stats. Follow the smarter money picks and your bankroll will come back to life. 13-0 now. San Fran going against Gonzaga. San Fran is at home- a difficult place to play in.

It really seems like every home team I've bet against in the last few weeks has covered...I'd like to know the stats....

Duke lost, Pitt lost, Florida lost, all on the road and did not cover...There's plenty more I'm sure

So, I will test if I'm just snakebit like some others here or if what I say is fairly true....

      Nevada -3.5 tonight....HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      best of luck to me!

Kaz- you are chasing shiny stones and you are going to get hurt on Nevada- to show ya I am taking Utah St. You need to read Savage's thread on losing 85,000. You are not far from it. Thanx for the selection. I just put 200 on it- well- sorta- I teased Utah St with San Fran.

Spearit....Just for the record, I try not to chase and play my plays at around the same units......I

like Nev. to try and prove a point. You'll probably win because I am slumping right now...

For the record, I took Nev. +2 and the Over 129 on a 7 point tease....We'll see. Best of luck to you

OK Kaz- I wish you would trust me on these smarter money plays- I don't post for attention or ego. Just hate to see you lose money. I should have parlayed my teams.

You were right Sprearit and I was WRONG! I'll be the first to admit it. It's the kind of shit that happens when you're slumping as a bettor. Just bad beats and this is certainly one. Didn't watch the 1st half. Glad I didn't....Right now, it's why I'm not posting any plays, been in a downward spiral....hopefully this slump ends soon

In most sports and most years when all is done and said everything comes back to around 50%.

IMO in basketball, NBA and college the refs tend to favor the home team.

Kaz, i know exactly what you mean. Saturday, i take VT on the road vs Mary getting 8.5, Mary wins by 9. I take Mizzou + 6 at K. ST. get blown out by 20. Take Suckacuse +9 at Nova, got that one shoved also. Point is, i always thought there was value on dogs, guess not. I feel your pain, lost a 1000.00 last week. I also made several mistakes last week switching cappers, always seemed i would pick the one who on that day would lose. Just my 2 cents, gambling can be a frustrating and not much fun when you lose.

Glad I'm not the only one JC, sorry for your losses however. It would be interesting to know how road teams are covering this year ATS. Probably tough to find that one out...

Does anyone know where to find ATS performances of college and NBA teams? I remember a site out there that posts the best teams against the spread, down to the worst....Thanks,
