Thanks for starting this thread Wayne!....was wondering if Spear-it or somebody could help me if any team has ever won all three games on the road as a wild card and go on to win the Super Bowl?
For my opinion, if anyone cares, I love the Broncos, but will wait a while. Have to figuire out a few match-ups first. Also considering that 21 of Denvers points last week came off turnovers, two fumble recoveries resulting into touchdowns and an interception run back to the goal line, resulting to 7pnts. I just can't egnore that, I just hope Dever's line will do a better job of controlling Pitts defensive line than Indy did, because Denver showed their changed game plan of going to the air, instead of running the ball first, to open up the air attack.
As far as the other game, no opinion yet.
Goodluck this weekend gang whichever way you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

I care, and i llove the Broncos as well.
As for your question, i did some research and got as far back as the 1976 season. The answer is NO. No team has won all 3 games on the road.
In 2000 Baltimore won @ Oakland in the AFC champ game, @ Tenn in the Divisional, but played at home vs Denver in the Wild Card game
In 1980 Oakland won @ San Diego in the AFC champ game, @ Cleve in the divsional, but was home vs Houston (OILERS) for the wild card game.
Good Luck to everyone

I dont believe for one second in Jake"go home"delhomme. Steve Smith IMO is the best player on all 4 teams remaining but if 2x team'd he can be held in ck.(by that i mean only 100yrs 1TD) Everyone i've talked to is All over carolina. I cant even find one person pimping seattle. Thats fine by me. Seattle wins a rather easy one. Seahawks by 10.
Onto Pitt/Den.
I ask you this? who would you rather take in a big game, must win. Ben Rtohuouoaezxhgldasbaodsbsdbburger or Jake"the fake"plummer???? it's really a no brainer. There is no way i'm putting my $$$ on "the fake". IMO denver didnt even play good vs. NE i know bronco fan, i know they beat the 2x SB champs. But..... NE gave that game away. 5 turnovers come on. If Denver plays that same game vs. Pitt on sunday Steelers win by 20+. I dont see Pitt letting down here. I believe they are on a mission. Denver IMO just doesnt match up. I dont believe in "the Fake" and denver IMO is 2 one demensional. If you stop the run Denver is done. kinda rythms dont you think???...lol
Wow, overwhelming support for Carolina and i dont blame you guys..from what we have seen everything points to them HOWEVER.. lets not forget the poise and confidence hasselback has shown this season especially last week after losing alexander for the game.
Before we all jump on carolina.. Lets remember what happens when we all fall in love with one side of a sports matchup..
carolinas 4th straight road game, and it's on the west coast....showed signs of tiring but were able to hold on in bears game.......what signs?.......if you watched the game by the 4th quarter the carolina defense was not getting the same pass rush, accumulating penalties, and missing tackles.........defense wins championships and seattles will be the better sunday
with 4 str8 road games the playing field just isnt level
Pittsburgh is on their 3rd and go to play in altitude......i'll pass the game, i had pittsburgh as the best playoff team with the afc's best defense, but like carolina they'll tire before the end of the game ........if they hang on and win they will be super
I LOVE how everyone is on the Panthers! Now this is a biased hometown opinion, but I think the Seahawks make it to Superbowl XL.
Yes, Steve Smith is good, and he will get his yards, but where else is their offense going to come from? The Seahawks shut down Portis, do you think Nick Goings will do much better? If they roll a cloud coverage (Corner jamming and playing underneath, and roll a safety over the top) of Smith they should be able to help slow him down. Tatupu and Leroy Hill are very good at pressuring the QB from the LB position. Rocky Bernard led the NFC in sacks by a DT. The Seahawks will get pressure on Delhome and he will make a mistake or two.
The Carolina Defense gave up 21 points to the Bears... enough said. Actually, considering the Seahawks scored 20 points without a running game against the Redskins they should be able to move the ball and score on Carolina. Julius Peppers may be one of the most talented DEs in the game, but he plays on the Defensive left side (Offense's right). The Seahawks love to run behind their three ALL PROs to the LEFT. Sorry Mr. Peppers, but have fun running down Alexander from behind. On passing downs and situations look for a TE or RB to left in to help the Hawks' right tackle vs Peppers. Alexander will be back and look for him to shine under the lights. He loves prime time games and he love the national spotlight. I see him getting at least two scores.
Special Teams. Jimmy Williams sucks and I'm pretty sure he will not get another chance to fumble a punt return. Look for Peter Warrick or Bobby Engram back there.
All I have to say, is I hope people keep pounding the Panthers so I can get an even better line right before kick off!
is alexanders playin, n gonna be affective? hasselback beat the skins not the ravens defense of 00 anyhow skins beat giants, eagles, bucs to get there not exactly murderers row
Hasselbeck did beat the Redskins, but he did it by himself without the support of the running game.
The Seahawks are 9-0 this year at home. 22-4 at home over the last three years. They beat Carolina last year at home 23-17 in week 8. Alexander rushed for 195 yards on 32 carries. Julius Peppers had 3 tackles and no sacks. The Seahawks' offense will be fine this week.

i really dont think who is carrying the rock is of significance.......alexander or morris, either will do and both are interchangeable....morris may have a little more toughness and alexander more elusive
Did anyone happen to catch the sports bash on ESPN radio today? They had Mike Walker the sportsbook director @ the Mirage. He has some good insight into this weekends games. He flat out said that he nopes seattle wins this weekend. He said he had alot of futures bets on carolina to make and or win SB XL. Also basically said no one outside of the northwest even cares about seattle. As for the other game he said people are betting both sides and that he thinks he'll get a bit more steelers action due to their impressive win over Indy.
