  • AFC/NFC Championship In Game Thread, Thoughts, Predictions, Smack!

Give us a score on the games or just talk about them. Ask questions or give reasons why you like a particular side!

    Give us the Smack!

Most of all, chime in with what you think will happen in these 2 games.

Over? Under? Which way will they?

I'll start. I love both Dogs. I'm just not sure how i will play them yet or if my opinion might change based on injuries and such. I'll give scores later in the week!

          I've lined both games...

I show Denver should be FAV by 6, so early on I'm liking Denver and the extra pts...

Other game I have Sea FAV by 6 so it's right on Vegas line...

First thoughts w/ more to come...

-Wayne, the lines at Millenium are Denver -3 and Denvewr -4. Just like you I also like both dogs. Being from the south and an avid SEC follower I believe defense wins games. Pitt held a prolific offense to 18 points and made them like it. Carolina and Chicago were hyped at having great defenses but somehow or another it got to be a shootout. Carolina though does play good defense and as I have posted several times this years they are a team trying to get respect. Them being from a small market do not get the exposure that other NFL teams get. They have been in the League for 10 years and been to the NFC Championship game 3 times in those 10 years. Their Program is doing something right. I don't put a lot of stock in teams being teams of destiny but you got to admit with both of these teams winning 2 straight road games the home field advantage don't seem to bother these 2 teams much. I still have a lot od research to do on these 2 games but as of this minute I like the points and truly expect one of the 2 teams to win outright

              Good Luck to everyone
              Adam

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
              Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

I think a Seattle/Denver SB would be boring compared to Pitt/Carolina game!

I've already put in on a 7 point teaser:

                        Pitt +10.5
                        Carolina +11.5

Seattle nor Denver really impressed me. Denver not impress you say? Beating the reigning world champs. There was 1 play in the game that totally flipped that game and made it look a lot worse than it was. The Bailey 100 yard INT, that by the way should have been a touchback since he fumbled out of hte endzone thanks to my boy Benjamin Watson (UGA boy). Did you see that fucker run down Champ? WOW!

I like the two road teams with the exception that it is really tough to win three straight road games. Carolina was really banged up today physically. Denever is really hard to win at as well. I like Pitt and Carolina but the three road games in a row might be too much to overcome

broncos n panthers should win, broncos defense won't let ben dictate the game or get man handled by pits o-line.
Look for another big Champ Bailey int that trade was really worth it. Homefield is huge and broncos D gets a huge break not having to play colts who've blown them out last 2 years.
Broncos by 6-7. Panthers should win steve smith is impossible to cover and panthers D gets a break if alexanders is out, seahawks is playin with house money finally got that 1st playoff win.
