What am I missing with NYG ?

They have 2 Linebackers starting that were not even in the league a month ago. They have a young QB who has looked like a young QB lately. They, in my view, will not be able to cram the ball up CAR's ass. Carolina has a vet playoff tested QB, a better D, a more rested team. On top of this, they (NYG) just seem to have peaked to early, and now the other teams have adjusted. Look at the game last weed in OAK, they looked like crap to me in a game they needed to win against a team that had nothing to play for with a coach who they new was gone. I said to myself last week(I dont judge games week by week) that CAR was the easiest play on the board. But I'm hearing alot of people liking NYG. In my view Car shuts down the run and makes Eli beat them, and I dont like his chances. My books showing +2.5 -115, tell me why there is easier money ahead.

I'm with Mac. We all know defense wins championships, and Carolina ranks 2nd or 3rd in total defense this year, G-Men are somwhere around 24th. And that doesn't take into account they are missing a couple of LBs.

Jacksonville was ranked 6th in defense compared to N.E. who was ranked 26th in Defense. They played last night and i believe those numbers meant Nothing as the Pats won without Bruschi or Rodney Harrison. Both Pro Bowlers on Defense as well. If bets were based soley on numbers, we would all be rich!
