  • Man of the Year: Jose Canseco

He said before his book came out, that it would change the face of sports. He was right.

Even if he did it for selfish reasons (money, notoriety, etc), it was ultimately good for sports. All sports not just baseball. It even made our country realize that steroids are a problem.

Now, the REAL atheletes, who don't have to depend on chemicals will have MORE of a chance than before. Yes, there will still be some sneaky ones that get away with it but the risk will be much, much greater.

As a gambler, I am not blindly loyal to athletes and don't idolize them like some fanatical sports fans. Actually, I think most of them are sacks of sh*t. I'm glad they won't be able to cheat as easily.

MLB knew there was a problem for a long time and didn't care, because the more runs scored & more HR's hit the more money that came in. And Pete Rose still isn't in the Hall of Fame after admitting to his guilt. MLB commissioner sucks.
