I'm now 11-3 in top plays in the NFL and 25-8 in top plays pro and college combined. I'm also 4-0 on plays 3* and above. I absolutely love the final NFL weekend because many teams are simply not motivated to play well while others have tremendous motivation.
4* NFL GOY Chiefs -6 1/2 (-120)
I've targeted this for my GOY for five weeks and everything has come up perfect. Cincinnati has clinched the AFC North and is actually better off losing this game and playing #5 seed Jacksonville than facing the red hot likely #6 seed Pittsburgh. With Cincy having to play next week, look for Lewis to rest Carson Palmer and quite a few others. KC is likely to be eliminated from playoff contention by game time as San Diego will almost certainly win Saturday. But the Chiefs may be the best non-playoff team in the league and will want to end on a positve note in front of the home crowd. Key stat: KC has won 18 in a row at home in December and is 14-2-2 ATS in those games! There's a real chance Dick Vermeil will retire after this game and that could also give KC an emotional edge over a team playing for nothing that lost at home last week to Buffalo, giving up 37 points. I'm buying the hook because I almost always do it on big plays involving the 3 or 7.
2* Packers -4
This is almost GOY material except only a moron would lay points with a 3-12 team in a GOY. But Seattle's Holmgren isn't going to risk injury on a cold day in Green Bay when he has nailed down homefield advantage. Don't blink if you want to see Hasselback or Alexander. This may well be Brett Favre's last game in Green Bay and Mike Sherman is very likely to be fired. I expect an extremely emotional effort from a Packers team that, while beaten up, still has pride. Blowout.
1* Buccaneers -13 1/2
Tampa is at home and really needs a win (may be knocked out entirely with a loss). The Saints finish on the road after a debacle of a loss last week in which idiot Haslett ran out the clock and kicked a field goal with nearly 2:00 left rather than going in for a TD, allowing detroit to win it with a field goal. New Orleans players openly ripped Haslett afterwards. A team without a home or a coach against a Tampa team with 30 first downs last week. Tampa 34-3.
I am very likely to play the Cowboys Sunday night but am waiting for line movement. I may have two other plays as well. This should be a big weekend.
