NBA YTD 7-9 -2.9 units
I'm not posting a lot of NBA plays right now because, as you can see above, I'm out of sync with my basketball. However, I can't resist tonite as I like six games a lot and am playing my top three. Hoping for a Christmas turnaround!
1* Heat -6 1/2
Miami has been outstanding since Shaq/Riley showed up. Heat have a big weekend with the Christmas showdown against the Lakers. I don't expect a look-ahead situation because they are at home and need to rack up wins to make up for their so-so start. Miami by 13.
1* Hawks +4
Atlanta has played shockingly well the last two weeks. Possible bonus value here in that Iverson is not a certainty to play for Philly and if he's out the line will move five points in the other direction.
1* Bucks -6 1/2
Great scheduling set up for the Bucks as this is their third home game in a row spaced out over seven days---unheard of in the NBA. Both teams have upset san Antonio in the past week and NewOrl/OkC has been solid on the road but the young Bucks aree playing with enthusiasm. One caution: this game marks the return to Milwaukee of desmond Mason who is very popular in Milw and was bitter about being traded. He may have a huge game which leads me to think a bet on the over is also a good idea.
Opinions only: Bucks OVER, Hawks OVER, Suns OVER (Phoenix has gone under seven in a row so I can't make this a rated play as I hate going against streaks but this game sets up to be in the 220's)
