Another great day yesterday, 2-0 (+8 units). Hope everyone puts some more money in their pockets today. Should be a great day for baseball, I'll be heading out to the "Juice Box" to see the Phillies and the Astros play this afternoon! These are my plays for today..........
5 STAR: MINNESOTA (MAYS)(-$140) OVER Chicago (Garland)
Right back on the Twins here today. After hammering the White Sox last night, the home team in this series has now won 10 out of the last 11 games. This is another favorable match up for the Twins against the struggling White Sox. Chicago is only 2-5 in John Garlands seven starts this season and he has already allowed nine homeruns in those starts. The Twins are 19-6 in home games versus a starting pitcher whose gives up 1 or more homeruns per start over the last 3 seasons. Minnesota is now 15-5 at home against the White Sox the last three seasons and today's pitcher Joe Mays has had a lot of success against Chicago in the past. In 14 starts against the White Sox, Mays is 7-2 with an ERA of 3.24, the Twins team record is 12-2 in those starts. Mays is also 7-1 at home when the total is 10 or higher over the last three seasons. Look for another Twins win here.
3 STAR: Cincinnati (Austin)(-$125) OVER MILWAUKEE (RUSCH)
Milwaukee's Glendon Rusch has been pitching terrible. Rusch is 5-15 in his last 20 team starts in May, including 0-3 this season. Rusch is also 1-4 with a 7.09 ERA against the Reds and winless at home and in his day starts this year. Jeff Austin has pitched well for Cincinnati with a 2-1 record and striking out 5 batters per game. The Brewers are 1-8 against teams with a starting pitcher who averages five or more strikeouts per game. Milwaukee has also really struggled in day games this season winning only 3 of 17 games. I look for the Brewers and Rusch to struggle again in this game, the Reds are 12-5 in road games versus a National League starting pitcher whose ERA is 5.70 or worse over the last 3 seasons. Milwaukee got the win yesterday, but the road team is still 14-6 in the last 20 meetings between these two teams. Look for the Reds to bounce back here.
3 STAR: Atlanta (Reynolds)(-$165) OVER SAN DIEGO (LOEWER)
A spot start here for San Diego's Carlton Loewer who was called up from the minors, and this could get real ugly! Loewer had two starts in the majors in 2001 and in both of those games he did not get past the second inning and gave up 6 runs in both games. Loewer has a big league career record of 9-16 with an ERA of 6.06, he is also 0-3 against Atlanta with an ERA of 9.15. Shane Reynolds is a respectable 11-7 against the Padres with an ERA of 3.47. Look for the Braves to roll here.

5 STAR RECORD 32-15 (+30.90 UNITS)
3 STAR RECORD 46-48 (-3.84 UNITS)
