  • North Carolina (-3.5)????

This UNC versus USC line seems to good to be true. USC does not seem to be a very good team this year. They lost by forty to an average at best ORU team. UNC already has a tough road win at Kentucky. What am I missing? If it seems to be too good to be true it usually is??? What's up with this line?

I like UNC also, but they are traveling arcoss the country. And Oral Roberts isn't as bad as people think.

I still may be laying the pts unless it goes up
        Good Luck to everyone

Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

            Capt-

I went to SC...and have watched them play a bunch over the past 5 years. The only reason why you should stay away from this game is if you think it's a 'trap'. That's it. SC has some talent---young and pruitt are electric and fun to watch---along with some momentum, as they've beaten up on some bad teams recently.

I think that this is a young UNC team, that is still anxious to prove that they belong at the top. I've seen more than enough of them (as espn loves showing baby blue) this year--and have thought about how they match up with us while watching them play. Among others, one thing that sticks out is the quality of UNC's passing game. They simply get basketball better than SC.

I was thinking the line would be in the high single digits, in which case I was going to stay away...but the fact that it's 4 is amazing. I'm taking it pretty big, as I don't think UNC is cocky enough to look past a red-hot (albeit against HORRIBLE teams) SC team. I'll be rooting for my Trojans, but from a betting perspective, the only way SC wins is if UNC comes out lazy.

sc is on a 7 game win streak and have a proven college coach in tim floyd...carolina is very young and was picked to come in 6th in the acc , so the line seems right on the money to me...

I'm all over NC - 4 1/2....The caliber of teams that USC has played is not up to what UNC has played.....Pure raw talent at NC---each game they are gonna get better...kapt

                  UNC WON AT KENTUCKY!

And the best team on this 'win streak' is who??? Eastern Wash? Alaska Anchorage (1pt win)? UC Riverside? BYU? Loyola Marymount (Luuucky win)? Western Wash? Alcorn State?

Calling that a win streak is an insult to our football team. Period.

SC was picked 8th in the PAC...sounds worse than 6th in the ACC. While Floyd had some success against Roy in the Big XII...this SC team doesn't have Tinsley and Fizer...

UNC has a Sagarin of 22...SC of 129. UNC will not be outplayed tonight. The only risk in this game is betting on a young team across the country from their home. And judging by the way they disposed of Santa Clara (higher sagarin than SC...and granted, there was revenge in play there) they are prepared for this trip.

Also, heard from a few friends that there are more UNC fans hanging out around downtown than SC fans. The crowd will be 50-50. We got about 1500 for our last game-the support just isn't there until the new Galen Center opens.

yep , the same kentucky team that lost by 26 to indiana who lost to indiana st. .... outside of the kentucky game unc hasn't exactly been playing powerhouses (santa clara , st. louis , santa barbara)...the heels don't have a big front line and could get hurt on the boards tonight , lol.....

Well, my intuition was right on this ball game. USC blew them out in the second half. UNC looked absolutely horrible. If the line looks to be good to be true than it probably is.
