Bowl season is finally here, and this is by far my favorite time of the year for wagering and following sports. It is definately a year end gift to those of us College Football fanatics. It is also the time of year I normally boost my bankroll, and hopefully can do the same this year.
Tonites game is kind of a stinker, first time in years that North Texas isn't representing the Sun Belt in this one. Arkansas State had a decent year in a bad conference, and while this is a great accomplishment for a team who has been I-A for only a few years, I don't see them really hanging around with Southern Miss. Look at some of ASU's losses this year: by 28 to Army, and by 38 to Midd. Tennessee.
Also, they really struggled offensively in some of their wins: 3 pts against Fla. Atlantic, and 9 points against Troy.
Men against boys in this one, and when the lines came out I thought the spread was too many for Southern Miss who is a little down this year by their standard, they clearly outclass a team that won a bad conference in a 3way tie.
