Hard Drive Failed

Again another one of the hard drives failed on the server thus the reason for the downtime.

Tonight around 1:00 PM Eastern time the sites will be down for some updates.

Then again when I a new drive is installed which I don't have a date for as of yet.

Hard Drive failure? Are you kidding me? You're not using redundant hot swappable hard drives? For a site that proclaims themselves #1 there are far too many problems. It seems almost every weekend there are problems.

SCSI drives that are hot swappable

I have 2 servers both using pentium 4 with hyperthreading with a lot of ram, both having 2 scsi hot swappable drives. I'm not using cheap crap.

Shit happens. I know. I'm not a techno whiz, but the LAN Administrator in our place is one of my subordinates. We have seven servers and about 170 endpoints on the LAN... PCs, network printers, video codecs, etc. It seems no matter how well you plan, there are going to be cluster fucks from time to time. And when there are you always catch shit from someone.
