Although I played the over very small(1/2 unit), with the paucity of scoring in first period, I would be shocked(and happy) if this game ever goes over;I think you will need overtime unless there is a 70 point quarter.
It looks like I gave up too soon.
What a second quarter!
At least we have a shot.
Yeah, lets hope they all come in to have a strong finish.
But, as far as plays "in progress" I hardly ever care what goes on (unless if I have a 1st half play) in the first half or even up to three quarters in pro basketball...if a play is going to hit it doesn't matter if its on pace to hit as long as it hits when clock shows double zero...thats why I ALWAYS encourage those who watch the games strictly for gambling not to even watch the games...I know people like seeing their $$$ in action, but its not worth the stress for them...So many times in a bar I see people cheering and celebrating when their bets look like locks only to see them disappointed at the end of the game...I've had thousands of plays that come in when they would have been percieved as sure losers...2night a lot of people were celebrating the Lakers Over as if they don't play 2 halves...I got 6 calls by friends complaining why I told them to either lay off the total or go under...but, thiugh they thanked me afterwards ALL 6 of them still said the over was the "right side"...there is NO SUCH thing as a "right side" that loses...so, its weird how plays come in, but if theyre strong they usually do...best of luck 2 you 2night!!!
***-very sound advice, and I should follow it.
Its funny you mention the over/ under in Laker game.
I had the under and had given up at the half hoping I would split(I did play SA).
What's even worse is that many times I buy 1/2 point on a total, and of course game ended right on number giving me a push rather than1. As they say, thats showbiz.
***-opinion needed.
When I buy 1/2 point on a total, I only buy it if total ends in a half-e.g. 191 1/2, the reason being that on a whole number, I won't lose if I don't buy it like it was case tonight.
Do you personally think that if a person is to buy 1/2 point on a total, it should be done on a whole number just as much as when total ends in 1/2/
Just curious;for sake of argument lets just say we are talking NBA .
Well, ended up being a very nice night afterall...Now its TEN DAYS in a row without a single losing night.....strong finish on hitting every side in the Kings game..Best of luck to everyone
Savage- as far as buying points, I don't think there is a distinct advantage whether you bring from a whole number or vice versa..You have to take it as an "exact value", which is 1/2 point advantage for you either way...My best advice for buying points is to leave them alone UNLESS there has been more than "three" line shifts...if the line has been settled on the same number than the half point more often than not won't come to play...Hope this helps...best of luck to you and congrats on the Over in the game...that line was WAY WAY WAY too low for a must game at the Arco center...hopefully we get another gift like that one...Take care
