NC-Wilmington is best team in CAA, with 7-1 record, 2-0 in the league; their only loss was 73-54 to senior-laden Colorado team on November 18. Wisconsin has a fairly young team, but a very good one, and a coach who has won four national titles at D-III level. Badgers are also 7-1; they just beat local rival Marquette Saturday, and have Wisconsin-Milwaukee Thursday. Five of seven Wisconsin wins are by double digit margins.

Tennessee State won three of last four games vs Eastern Illinois but lost here 82-61 last year. Tigers lost their OVC home opener 70-69 to SE Missouri, and also hung in at Georgia Tech, losing just 82-72. Eastern Illinois is off to rough 0-5 start, losing OVC home opener 83-80 to Tennessee Tech.

Monday's List of 13: Wrapping up Week 14 in NFL
                    13) Will somebody please give Mike Sherman a coat? It is six degrees out, the guy lives in Green Bay, and he stands on the field for three hours with no coat on. No wonder they're 3-10.

                    12) Bears had forced opponents to go 3-and-out on 4+ drives in eight straight games, but only forced one 3-and-out in its game at Pittsburgh. Chicago isn't any good unless they get defensive scores or good field position for a lame offense.

                    11) Texans are 1-12, but their last three losses have all been on last play of game, all agonizing defeats. Houston has been running ball better, and they even worked a neat fake FG at Tennessee, but still failed to score on that drive.

                    10) Last team to lose Super Bowl, then win Super Bowl next season? The '72 Miami Dolphins, the last perfect (17-0) team.

                    9) Speaking of which, Colts are fourth team to start 13-0; from what Dungy inferred after game Sunday, they will go all out this week vs Chargers (he said you go all-out at home), then give guys off Christmas Eve at Seattle, when game is played on a short work week.

                    8) Tip to TV directors: when team is punting with less than 5 yards to go for first down, we need to see line of scrimmage at the snap, you know, in case something important happens, like an offsides penalty or something. We all like cheerleaders and guys with painted faces, but that can wait until later....

                    7) Chiefs led 17-14 at Dallas, had ball in red zone late in first half, but Green was sacked, fumbled and Cowboys ran fumble back 59 yards, setting up go-ahead TD; a 14-point swing on that play, huge in 31-28 contest.

                    6) Weird thing is, out of sixteen games next week in Week 15, only three are divisional contests. You'd think there'd be more

                    5) Lookalikes: Ram QB Fitzpatrick, actor Brandon Fraser.

                    4) Arizona led 10-3 at half Sunday, despite turning ball over on each of their first four drives. They then took 13-10 lead in second half, but Redskins ran kick back for TD, another kick in teeth for Cardinal team that can't win two games in a row.

                    3) Miami averaged 10.4 yards per pass attempt at San Diego, winning their third game in row. Huge day for Steelers, with their win, and losses by Bolts, Chiefs and Jacksonville.

                    2) Kind of ironic that Rick Neuheisel was in Denver the week Gary Barnett got fired up in Boulder.

                    1) No one enjoys watching Brett Favre play more than I do, but listening to ESPN's announcers, you'd think he was cross between Abe Lincoln, Gandhi and Cal Ripken. Enough with constantly chattering about the guy; we know he's great, no one knows if he is playing next year, and his team is 3-10.
