  • Newbie Question About Systems???

I am relatively new to sports gambling. I have been posting on the board for a couple of months now and was wondering about "system" plays. Homer was able to tell me the score to an NBA game to within a couple of points....it was kinda of freaky. Anyway, I am not asking for anyone's secrets, just a simple explanation of the basics. Is it an excel spreadsheet? are there trends involved? Just wanting to know exactly what goes on when someone mentions a "system." Any help would be great, thanks.

Captcane- Systems develop over the course of the year as they are hitting generally- Other systems date back years. each sport entails a worksheet on the games and teams involved. Some have simulations with their gameboy or whatever and repeat the action a bunch of times to get a percentage. What you plug in is generally what the game comes out- however, this info can be a tad slack as who the goalie will be or will a questionable player is in action. Most cappers that actually cap use formulas that they developed or has been past down to them. Some play several systems to see if the results come out the same and if so that is the play.
The score mentioned is how Homer saw the game vs the way Vegas sees it and the point differential provides the play - lets say at least 5 points different. Good Luck I hope this helps.
"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice.

Typically you'll see handicappers speak of "trends" or "systems". Trends are team specific, systems are situationally specific (not applying to any one team, but the situation they are in).
