  • Question about the colts........because i am bored

If the colts finished the regular season undefeated but lost in the superbowl which would make them 18-1 would anyone consider that better than the miami dolphins undefeated season??

No. The ultimate goal is to win the super bowl

You would have more of a case if they lose one of the next few remaining regular season games and then won the Superbowl.

the perfect scenerio for me would be for manning to go 18-0 and then lose the SB to dallas. If that cant be then my 2nd best scenerio would be Cots 18-0 to lose SB to the giants. Nothing would be better than Eli beating peyton to ruin his perfect season.

I dont think the colts will lose any games unless they bench their starters. They dont have to lose. I dont know why people think that there has to be a team that will bring them down. Not a colts fan but just stating my 2 cents

The only sure thing is that if they DON'T win the Superbowl but go undefeated in regular season, in time they will simply be remembered as a very good team with perhaps a footnote that they went undefeated in the regular season.

That would make both the 1972 Dolphins and the 1985 Bears teams better because of winning precentage and Superbowl Titles. The 1972 Dolphins only got to play 12 regular season games, who is to say that they would not run a 16 game schedule plus the playoffs. That is why you do winning percentage and percentages for all stats. John Elway won the most games ever, but he played more games than say Bart Starr or any other quarterback that played less games. RYPG, PYPG, PYPA, RYPA, QB Rating, Win Percentage, etc. The most important stat ever is Superbowl titles. And those 39 teams would be better than an 18-1 Superbowl losing Colts.

                    Totals; 17-9-1; +33.20x

                    AUGUST
                    1-2 (-4.7x)
