  • Weazels NFL Plays

Little different handicapping the NFL late in the season as the elite teams, good teams, and bad teams begin to separate themselves and you can really see this trend in the lines.

    3* Chargers -13.5 -102
I love betting on this Charger team because they are one of the most consistent teams in the league and they aren't afraid to blow the opponent out especially at home. The Chargers know that they can't afford to lose or even come into a game flat in the very competitive AFC because a loss to a team like the Dolphins could mean the end of the season with their upcoming schedule. San Diego should be able to route the Phins. Like the Bolts here.

    3* Steelers -6 +104
Some time or later the Bears anemic offense will haunt them and I'm pretty sure this is the week. Looking at the Bears schedule they really haven't played any of the top tier teams. They did play the Bengals earlier in the season and it was a route, all Bengals. The AFC might have 4 to 6 better teams than the best NFC team (Seahawks). Pittsburgh will load up 8 people in the box to stop the run and force Orton to throw the ball which he can't and if he tries will get picked. The Bears offense won't be able to move the ball translating into a tired bears defense once the second half rolls around. Steelers roll in this one.

    3* Indy -2/Atl -3.5 odds 10/13
Not much to say here except two teams I feel pretty confident about will win their games.

    Thats it, gl to all.

        Adding

        5* top play New England -4 +100

The Patriots are going to win this game. It’s their biggest game of the season, a chance to clinch the division with Miami playing at San Diego. People who boo-hoo that accomplishment underestimate how prideful the Patriots are. I don’t care how easy the division is, it’s an accomplishment to make the playoffs. When you consider that the Patriots have used 43 different starters this season, it’s not a title they will take lightly. People can talk all they want about the injuries last year, but they never had to replace their 3 best offensive linemen, 2 best running backs, starting wideout, and tight end at the same time. Not to mention the six players lost for the season in the secondary.

The Patriots have survived and the team is finally getting healthier. I'm not worried that the game is in Buffalo. New England has played it’s best three games of the year (Pittsburgh, Miami, and Atlanta) away from Foxborough. That’s another column. This pick is hardly just about the Pats though.

The Bills are in total disarray. The usually friendly local media wants Mike Mularkey and GM Tom Donahue fired. Mularkey suspended Eric Moulds for this week’s game, the second veteran he’s clashed with this month. Sam Aiken will start at wide receiver. That should play over well in the locker room. The secondary, the supposed strength of the team, gave up 21 fourth-quarter points to Sage Rosenfels in the biggest stomach punch game of the season. The home fans will be booing by the middle of the second quarter. All Patriots in this one

        3* Cowboys -3 +103

The Cowboys need this game slightly more and are a different team at home. The Chiefs are a different team away from Arrowhead (14-3 loss at Buffalo is a very good indication) and I just don’t trust the pass defense.

        3* Carolina -6 +100
        2* Redskins -3.5 +101

        Good luck today everyone
