Tuesday's List of 13, Nobody asked me, but......
                  13) Eagles will be fifth straight team to lose Super Bowl, then have losing season the following year.

                  12) Clippers wore Buffalo Braves' throwback uniforms in their win over Miami Monday night; does anyone even remember that the Clips originated in Buffalo? Why would a team with such a dismal history try to reach back and embrace it?

                  11) Tell me I didn't read that the Dodgers gave Furcal $13 mill a season; are they serious? Eeessshhh...

                  10) Boston College, I believe, is only team in country to win a bowl game each of last five seasons, yet Eagles are underdog for their bowl, a road game at Boise in Humanitarian Bowl. The last team to beat BC in bowl was Colorado, 62-28.

                  9) Bill Haas holed a 10-foot par putt on the 16th hole, then got birdies on 17th and 18th holes to become one of 32 golfers to earn their Tour card for 2006.

                  8) Then there's Tommy Tolles, who was above the cut line as he teed off on his last hole, but hit his tee shot in water, and double-bogeyed, sentencing himself to Nationwide Tour for next summer.

                  7) Notre Dame hasn't won a bowl game since 1993, when they beat Texas A&M 24-21 in the Cotton Bowl.

                  6) Pac-10 had a 10-1 team squeezed out of BCS bowl for 2nd year in row, as Oregon got screwed by the system. How will they react to going to Holiday Bowl to face Oklahoma? Will they be into this game, or disappointed and play lousy?

                  5) Mike Price finally gets to coach in Alabama, as his Miners of UTEP play Toledo in the GMAC Bowl in Mobile. No word if strippers get in for half-price.

                  4) After watching Gonzaga's Adam Morrison three times this year, the comparisons to Larry Bird (when he was at Indiana State) are not ridiculous. He's that good.

                  3) Seahawks gained 194 yards Monday night, yet scored 42 points, the second-least yards in NFL history by a team that scored 40+ points.

                  2) Kevin Kruger, son of UNLV coach Lon Kruger, is a pretty good player for Arizona State's basketball team; he stuck a 3 at buzzer Monday to send ASU-Minnesota game to OT.

                  1) Reading good book in my spare time; "Runnin' Rebel" by Jerry Tarkanian and Dan Wetzel, is memoir of the coach who made UNLV a household name in college hoop.

One of his better stories is how he lost a recruit to USC while he was coaching at Long Beach State. The kid wanted to play for Tark, but a famous USC alum got the kid's sister a job in the movie studios. Guy by name of John Wayne, who once upon a time, played football for USC.
